Recreation is an important part of every individual’s life. CUSR works to bring recreation to all those who want to play. Monetary donations may be made to the general scholarship fund, the Mustang Booster Club, or a specific program or event. The general scholarship fund benefits individuals and families who need financial support to attend our programs. Scholarships are available to Champaign and Urbana residents for use towards CUSR Youth & Teen, Adult, or Athletic programs as well as special events. The Mustang Booster Club was created to raise funds to support CUSR Special Olympic Illinois sport teams as they travel throughout the state to compete in district and state tournaments. The costs that CUSR incurs for this travel, hotel, food and staff time are not charged back to our athletes. The booster club operates concessions at CUSR game days, sells CUSR Mustang apparel, and organizes other fun events throughout the year to help offset these costs, and supply CUSR’s athletes with needed equipment and uniforms.
