Ages: 5-35
Have you ever dreamed of or been interested in riding horses past a mere pony ride? If you answered yes, then this program is for you! At healing Horse Stables you will learn riding skills through an hour-long lesson including various exercises and activities from a P.A.T.H. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certified instructor. You will also have a ground lesson where you will learn how to groom and saddle a horse.
NOTE: Closed-toe gym shoes are required and no high heels. Due to safety concerns you will not be able to participant in improper footwear. Cowboy boots are welcome! Long pants are highly recommended to avoid rubbing on the legs from the saddle and horse. Bring a water bottle each week!
**There is a weight limit of 250 lbs.
GOALS: Increase concentration and balance, improved coordination, gross motor skills, improve overall orientation and body awareness, muscle tone, posture, flexibility, increase of knowledge about horses and riding, improved emotional well-being, and forming a connection with a non-judgmental being.

Transportation: Meet at the Hays Recreation Center at 9:20am and pick-up at the Hays Recreation Center at 12:30pm or meet at the stables by 9:45am and be picked up from the stables at 12pm.
