Ages: 5-35
Have you ever dreamed of riding horses beyond a mere pony ride? At Healing Horse Stables you will learn riding skills through an hour-long lesson including various exercises and activities from a P.A.T.H. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certified instructor. You will also have a ground lesson where you will learn how to groom and saddle a horse.
NOTE: Close-toed gym shoes are required and no high heels. Due to safety concerns, you will not be able to participate in improper footwear. Cowboy boots are welcome! Long pants are highly recommended to protect your legs from the saddle and horse. Bring a water bottle each week! **There is a weight limit of 250 lbs.
GOALS: Increase concentration and balance, improved coordination, gross motor skills, improve overall orientation and body awareness, muscle tone, posture, flexibility, increase of knowledge about horses and riding, improved emotional well-being, and forming a connection with a judgement-free being.

Transportation: Meet at the Hays Recreation Center at 9:20am and pick-up at the Hays Recreation Center at 12:30pm or meet at the stables by 9:45am and be picked up from stables at 12pm.
