Ages: 13+

Unified Sports brings together individuals with and without intellectual disabilities to compete on the same team, allowing them to learn to work together and develop a lifelong friendship. Unified Volleyball works on a team strategy while improving individual passing, setting, hitting, and serving skills. The team will compete in games against area teams and at the Special Olympics Area Qualified on September 17. Athletes need to have a valid Special Olympics Medical Application on file with CUSR by August 9; Medical Applications must be valid through October 29.

*NOTE: We hope to field two Unified Volleyball teams this year. Dependent on unified partners, this may not be possible. In the event that it is not possible, we will compete as a Traditional Volleyball team. 

GOALS: Increase gross motor coordination, improve team coordination, and gain knowledge of the rules of the game and individual skills.
