2023 CUSR Cupcake 5K

Cupcakes are in the air and Champaign-Urbana Special Recreation knows where you can get one!

CUSR is a joint program between the Champaign and Urbana Park Districts that provides recreational programs and services to those with disabilities in the greater C-U area since 1985. Our mission is to advocate for and provide access to a full range of recreational opportunities for people with disabilities.

On Sunday, November 5 we will be holding our Eleventh Annual Cupcake 5K at Carle at the Fields to raise funds for our scholarship program. Financially speaking, when one has a disability, medical/therapy bills are their first priority. As a result, recreational activities like socializing with friends, competing on a sports team, and taking trips are unlikely to occur. The CUSR Scholarship Program allows families and residents with disabilities who need financial assistance the ability to register for programming at half the cost. We are very proud of our scholarship program and would love for you to be a part of making it even better!

If you have already registered for the philanthropic race, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

If you have not registered yet, but plan on it, you can register here: https://cuspecialrecreation.com/cusr-cupcake-5k/. The deadline to receive a t-shirt is October 9 at 5pm. Registration will be open through November 1, but you will not receive a t-shirt after the October 9 deadline. They will be available to purchase on-site the day of the event.
